Being of mixed race and mixed cultural backgrounds, I found that Papa Legba has helped me reconnect with my ancestors and love ones on the other side. Has unblocked my path in life and made me see me for what I am and embrace it. I used to hide cause some culture religious beliefs make you feel wrong or out of place for believing and practicing. I thank LaLa an legba for letting me come right out and not care of how others may feel. Thank you LaLa!!!!
Ari' , I know what you mean. I'm of mixed cultures myself but I've grown up around my Hispanic side in and out of the Bodega's of N.Y.. I was born with a veil (thin layer of membrane) over my face and by the time I was 8 I was seeing things that scared the crap out of me. I supressed it for years because I didn't understand it and it wasn't explained. I kept hearing conversations that it's evil but I was always drawn to a different spirituality vs the traditional Christian faith. I have to thank LALA for re-opening my mind to let out what I've suppressed well over 40 yrs. Papa Legba will be my next candle
