Going from spelled to conjure????

Do what feels right. That’s always the best route — to be one with your intuition. If your intuition is telling you to do DA first, do DA first.

I know the booklet says burn one candle at a time, but when it comes to the LWA — especially Papa Legba, I work with him all the time, so I burn his candle even when I’m using a spelled candle on the side. The reason is: I spend ongoing time with him, building a relationship with him - not just going to him when I need something. So, I may have Halo burning in the other room, but on Mondays or any other time I’m giving him offerings or spending time with him (which is multiple times per week), I may burn his candle. In regards to you getting more in depth with what you desire, if you’ve burned unhex/halo and maybe even Mars, you can move forward with Papa Legba to open the roads for you. Especially prior to connecting with Freda. I used to be anxious about hopping from one work to the next, but there is wisdom in waiting to see movement prior to moving to your next work. So depending on your situation, you may want to wait to see movement from your other candles before moving forward with the next set. However, if you are eager to move forward with building a relationship with them, I think it would be okay to set up an altar for Papa and get that one going.

I don’t think it matters. Some people rotate between the two. It’s all about when you’re ready.
