How do you know if you need candles vs a ceremony?

So, I'm new and I have been reading over the website the past week. I've taken the consultation quizzes, read and re read the booklets, watched the IG vids and really tried to scroll through here to see if this question has been answered but I'm not finding it. I'm on Soul Purge forum and have seen Chaelas ceremonies, thats what prompted my question.

I asked another question in the forum and was advised to order a candle but also take the academy course so I'll have something to review while I wait for the candle. I'm going to take the course tomorrow but am wondering if I should order a candle or request taking part in a ceremony.

I don’t feel comfortable using the conjure candles (I only use spelled candles), so for conjuring I leave it to the experts (Lala, Tina, Chaela) and get in on their ceremonies.

I think that will be my move for a while, I purchased Unhex this morning. Anything beyond spelled candles I'll hold off on for a while. Thanks for sharing, its helpful to know that some people are more comfortable with the family doing the conjure for a while.

So it sounds like ceremonies are  next level. Light candles first, if I can't or something happens move on to ceremonies.

Start burning your own candles first. If you’re not able to do so, then ceremonies.  Sometimes Tina and Chaela offers something that we can’t do ourselves, hence do the ceremonies. As far as the LWA’s, some of us can’t build altars or don’t have a relationship but want to try something different, so we ask thru Aunty Lala.

I do both layering is key you just have to pick which one is right for your situation at the time
