Sorry to jump on your post @thecardinalenchant I am new to this, I have the same issue as far as space and privacy. I live with my 2 daughters and my roommate and her daughter. Would putting the things on the altar away after I am done be wrong? I don’t want to be disrespectful in any way

Same issue! I want to work with Erzulie Freda who also need her own altar, plus I have my ancestral altar.

I’ve found that these tv trays work well! They don’t take up much space and they’re super cheap! Just put an altar cloth over it and put them in their own areas.

I dont have a big space either so both mine for Legba and Erzulie will be against the same wall but will have some space between each other.

They also have a good amount of table space so it’ll be just enough for you to fit a reasonable amount of items on them.

One lady posted her papa legba and it was literally a tray. 🤷🏾‍♀️ you guys have to understand in hoodoo our ancestors didn't have much either they had to work with what they had. If you guys have space for an altar good. If not make a clean space over a small wooden crate with a table cloth. Use what you guys have the lwa will understand.

I also don’t live alone so I have to be discreet about my altars. Everything happens in my room and that spot is small. My regular altar I keep looking like a plant and candle shelf until I need to conjure then I set it up right and leave my door closed!

I’m having the same problem. I want to honor him properly but I don’t have the space for another altar table. I barely have space for the one I have 😭
