I am a Fire sign too and yes we can be blunt. I can. But that pinned post is a bit too much. I agree, it can turn some away with it being the first thing you read. I do not believe it should turn people away from hoodoo/vodoo but it would turn me off from this forum. I have seen several other posts that say the same thing but with a better tone. Like said in a previous comment on this post, different people need different things. Even with that post pinned up, people still are not reading the booklet, not taking time to research and understand etc. Also there are rude/mean Wiccan groups/forums. The ones I have been a part of, the rude mean bullies are usually kicked out.

What grown woman or man you know like to be talk to like they are a child ? 🤔🤔 because “READ THE DAMN BOOKLET “ ain’t right at all …. Respect others and you shall receive respect …. 🤷🏾‍♀️

@chan Atkinson yes, thank you. That's exactly how I meant to say it, I didn't mean to come off brash. It's nothing against new people who want to learn or grasp what's necessary to do the work or gain clarity: I really do love and admire them wanting to put in the effort. I don't mind helping them at all. The ones who take it as a joke and openly say they didn't evaluate their issues/read the booklet/forum search but want others to do for them what they're supposed to themselves, with an air of entitlement, no less... they make it terrible for every other new person who genuinely need the guidance. I've never intentionally turned away a new person who needed help, but I admit I've chewed out a few people who took Conjure as a joke and didn't want anything more than a temporary fix.

Actually hun I am one of those people at times (won't say all the time) who prefers that and actually when I first started and asked a question someone did address me in that way and what that caused me to do was go into deep study around hoodoo/voodoo (just sent u a book which I started off with) but helped me to make sure I was serious. Again I'm not saying it's for everyone but different strikes for different folks my sweet. But I know your defence is to be protective of newbies as well as the spirituality that you're growing to love. But trust me both sides are necessary

I’m currently working and can’t read all of this but hunny there is nothing right about this …. You can’t melt and pour right on this post …. Y’all are giving vodou and hooodoo a bad reputation…. People look at us as evil people …. I’ve been in Wiccan circles and let me just say we are the only ones that are aggressively forceful …. Like you have to do this a certain way or it’s wrong is what y’all be giving but hunny vodou and hoodoo is not giving that type of energy …. Y’all are to much and I’m speaking against it because vodou and hoodoo are not evil it’s the people like her that made this post that make vodou and hoodoo evil …

Like that goes against why I’m here … I’m on this planet to help people that can’t speak up for themselves or feel uncomfortable speaking against something that’s wrong ….. Yeah that was rude to which is why I made a post about why people think hoodoo and vodou are evil because of y’all aggressive ass users …. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️that shit ain’t cute , it’s not informative , it’s misleading because it gives the impression that everyone in the hoodoo & vodou community is all aggressively forceful and are rude and that’s not the case …. There is a way to say things and put things and the way y’all are insulting people and making people feel bad …. Y’all will have to answer to that from y’all’s spiritual team because you could be running away good vesssels that could be servants of law’s , Orishas and or goddesses …. Everything has a cause and affect

Nawh, don't let it work ya up. Tití, Ife, and plenty others put posts up about what to do first. If folks choose not to read the booklet or search the forums, let them figure it out by trial & error.
