So I saw this post in a group on Facebook. My thing is, now that my candles have all burned, the alter I had set up for them is kind of just there. I mean it looks pretty my guests always compliment it. But have I abandoned it ? I made it for Halo and Gf..

@lennita brantley I don’t believe that paragraph would apply to you because the altar that you made was for Halo and Good Fortune, from what I gather. If you would have set up an altar just for the deities then this would (possibly) be applicable to you. Setting up an altar for a deity is something that should be taken seriously. If you want to have a relationship with them they are always open to that. It’s not something you should play with. You shouldn’t say (and set up an altar) if you’re not going to take that seriously because it could bring unnecessary problems to you.
I think this more applies to conjuring not Good Fortune or Halo those are spelled candles. This speaks of conjuring other spirits like Papa or Erzulie which is why it’s suggested you keep the candle jar with the veves on them. You can keep these altars and continue making offering to them to continue working with them.
From what I remember from episode 5 I believe? There’s no type of initiation for this. It’s a good question so hopefully we get an answer because I’ve moved my little altar table from my room to my dining area 🥵
