Ancestor support

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a question how do you know if or when you get ancestral support when you work with spirit. If some ancestors were very religiously devout will you get support from them. Can ancestors hinder spirit work if they disapprove?

I normally know it’s them supporting the work because it’s something that I have spoken to them about at their altar.

As far as if they would support you, I would recommend doing divination to ask if they approve/ support it. They will definitely tell you yes or no and they can block something you’re trying to do if it is not for your highest good.

Thank you for responding, I tried doing veneration a few years back asking for support and guidance, but instead of answering me, they went to my mom, who can communicate with spirits in her dream. My dad, who transitioned years ago, told her to watch after me. It's very strange because my father was not religious but very spiritual in a nontraditional way. I feel as if they and he do not approve, which is why I haven't been able to receive my orders. Whenever there's an issue,my dad and maternal grandmother always speak to my mom in her dreams. A couple of weeks ago, my mom said she dreamed and saw all of her family who transitioned husband included. Mind you She does not live with me. I'm not sure what to do.
