I actually have several questions 1. Is there a difference between the two names ( Papa Elegua or Papa Legba) ? Because i have statue that has his name as Elegua 2. I've been told twice to get in touch with Damballah, But for some reason im hesitant on meeting him or working with him or him working with me (etc)..idk why but i am. My question is : Is it okay to have all 3 of them not in the same area but under the same roof ? 3. should i still ask Papa permission , I have a whole set up( altar) for Papa in my bedroom closet. being that Damballah is higher up ( Grandfather) ? 4. If possible can yall share your experience with one of the other or both pls and thank in advance.. I really hope someone can help me out here..

If i do purchase i just wanted to know if it would be ok being that i have papa .. Didnt want anyone..my place to be too crowded with 2 many spirits and not disrespect anyone..
Thank you sooo much for this info.. And i was referrin to having them within my home but papa elegua has his own altar in my room as well as my ancestors altar they are both separate in the corners of my apartment... But I do know that Damballah & Ayida can be on one altar together ( they are 1)
Elegua comes from the Yoruba tradition, associates with Santeria. Legba comes from the Dahomey culture today associated with Haitian Vodou. While they rule similar realms, they are different entities. Papa Legba is the gateway to all Lwa; always consult Him first. I’m not sure of your second question. Are you asking if you can have all three candles in one space or all three altars to all three deities under one roof? If the latter then yes, just not together, connected. It seems that you are familiar with Santeria. Damballah often could be associated with, but is a different entity than, Obatala.
