I move them away from the fire when it first being lit until the entire top has melted.. usually when it's the last burn I'll let the rest of the herbs burn..
You definitely can, just make sure to remove the herbs until the entire top is melted so you can get more use out of your candle.. also if you already burned for six hours that's fine you can save for another burn..
Just means when you let it you never move the hurt from the wick so it burned much faster.. when I first started I would do the same thing and I would run through candles like no tomorrow.. as soon as I turn on any da or basically any candles with herbs I remove all the herbs from the flame..
A burning fast doesn't actually signify anything but at least you got the 6 hours minimum.. for the future I recommend you move the herbs from the fire so that you can reuse your candles and get more use out of them..

Can i light another DA & continue?
Be careful leaving the candles unattended. The herbs do catch fire 🔥 and can cause damage. I am speaking from experience.
