This may sound silly but What do you all mean when you say "get to know" the LWA spirits"? What does that look like? How do you do that? Im a newbie, if you cant tell.
Get to know them by researching about them. Learn about what offerings they like. What days to light their candles. Their colors, etc. The more your sit with them and light their candles they will let you know what they like as far as offerings... for instance when I first lit papa legba's candle i didn't see movement and my candle was low. I researched and some offered peanuts and play music. I did that and I could feel his presence more the second time.
