Gratitude Candle?

I don’t know if there’s any “expert” way to do them, I think your intent and heart is most important. But you could offer any of the items I mentioned (plus more, I’ve seen a lot of beautiful and creative altars full of offerings in people’s photos posted on this forum). If it’s food or something organic (food, drink, flowers, etc) you can give it back to the earth/dispose of it with the candle. Or you can sage the item and keep it for additional use (e.g big crystals, expensive jewelry, etc). It’s up to you. In my mind, if you can afford to fully give the item back to the earth or donate it to someone else, that would be the best case scenario. But that is my opinion. I’ve done both.

Ask the spirits themselves how you can show gratitude and appreciation and meditate on it. Maybe you’ll get a strong sign or answer letting you know what they’d appreciate.
