Grand Rising Conjure Family! I've found this great Classic on Netflix from 1993 and wanted to share. I'm pretty sure I'm late on watching this. A Model Oyafunmike Ogunlano on a photo shoot in Ghana encounters a old mystic who transports her into the past, where she become a slave and to witness and see how far her Ancestors came.

Yes learned about Sankofa itself back in H.S. Sankofa (retrieve) represents a bird moving forward whilst looking back for we can't move on if we don't know ourstory n what was left behind for us this movie was very informative
