Thanks Dominik for answering her questions with such clarity..shoot l took down some notes myself.
Hi hun good day have a question.... if I lit PL about 2 months ago and got access from him to work with another Loa right but I recently did un-hex do I have to relight him again and ask him for access again being that unhex remove all works @Dominik
I say one offering per petition. You can leave it there for the day, for as long as the candle burns, or for three days (his number). You can totally throw it the offerings in the garbage. If you have an intersection by your house, drop off the offerings at a garbage there and throw three pennies along with it.
Technically no, but since you’re working with a Loa you should leave something out. The candle itself has Legba’s vèvè on it so that’s a whole altar in itself. You can also put it away. If you can’t leave it out. However when you do petition him, since you’re working with a spirit or a being, I would suggest lighting the candle and doing your petition on a day where you can have the candle lit for a few hours. Lala’s rule is 6 hours at least, I burn my candles from sunrise to sunset when I conjure. What I’m saying is if you are going to ask Legba for something don’t do it when in a rush but on a day where you know you can honor him properly. If you do it once and never light the candle again or keep an altar for him, he will understand as long as you give him an offering.
This question comes up every other day. Conjure once, fully setting up his altar and burn the candle for 6 hours or more (I say from sunset to sundown). Afterwards you can place the candle on a plate (black or red) as close to your front door as possible. Every Monday light the candle and leave him a shot of rum, an espresso cup of coffee, candy or a cigar. Light the candle for a few minutes and snuff it out. Ask him to bless your week. If you do decide to petition him for something specific, I recommend you give an offering and keep the candle lit for 6 hours or more. If you’re just honoring him weekly without any large petition, do what I advised earlier.
