I actually use a bit at a time from my bundles. They still put out plenty of smoke to cleanse my area. If it burns out and I need more, I just grab more. I always do Palo Santo as well. Works great for me, and makes my bundles last longer.

Sage leaves are also sold by various company’s including on Etsy. Whether or not you use the bundle of sage or a few sprigs, you will still be cleansing.

I hope I'm understanding you correctly, but by burning a sage bundle from one end, it generates much more smoke than just burning a few leaves at a time and is therefor much more efficient. To cleanse an entire space you'd constantly have to be lighting new leaves, as individual leaves burn very fast. Then when you're done you can snuff it out and use the rest later. I highly suggest researching how to properly smudge a house, there are plenty of videos about it on youtube as well as lots of info on google. Hope this helps!
