Intense candles big flame

How do y'all get y'all candles to burn without the smoke detectors going off and without the big flame scaring y'all. I had to snuff my right after my chant because it kept making the smoke detectors go off 😒 Help me!!!!!

Thank you all I moved the glitter and herbs, covered the smoke detectors with shower caps and kept my window halfway open. It burned for 29 hours before the smoke detectors went off again towards the end of the candle

If you have a stand up fan point it up towards the alarm to minimize the smoke, works like a charms for me.😊. Blessings to you.

I find that pushing the glitter and herbs away from the wick before lighting helps.

I live in a studio apartment so I have mine in the kitchen area under the extractor

Hi. I watch my candle as I am chanting. If I see a flare up, I put it out... not the entire candle, just the area that is getting out of control. I also check the wick as well as the area around the wick to be sure there are no herbs close by that could cause the entire candle to ignite. I never understood the draw to those crazy wild bonfire burns, but of course to each his own. I like to be able to chant and focus when I light the candle as well as over the course of the next few days. I have on occasion let some of the herbs catch and burn at the end of the candle. I feel the energy is stronger at the end since I’ve been pouring my energy and intentions into the candle for a few days at that point. I get in one last chant while the flame is high, then I extinguish it.

Lol at wild bon fires. I am not drawn to the candle being like that the entire time. I do like when the herbs catch on fire at the end as well.

Those wild burns give me anxiety just from seeing the pictures and videos 😟 It would definitely cause me to lose focus and be on fire watch instead. I don’t need the anxiety impacting my work. Now if I felt called to have a crazy burn, I would take the candle outside and let it do what it do lol

When you see the flame getting big, snuff and move the herbs away from the wick, chant and relight. I've dont it its not hard

I don't think I've experienced flames the size of these described but when they get higher than I like I usually do that while the candle is still going on.

I heard these intense burns are CRAZY! Someone said theirs burned in like 2-3 hours. Did Lala ever comment and say if they were spelled that way? Does it affect the results?

My DA/SW/AH was covered in oil, as well as the outside of the candle. I dabbed the excess oil off the top and cleaned the outside before lighting and I haven’t had any crazy flames. Just beautiful steady burn, I need this candle to burn as long as it can. Lol

@No U thought I haven't used mine yet but I think both my Sire and DA Intense had quite a bit of oil at the top. I was going to inquire about that. I put a little on my hand, lol. I was thinking maybe this will be like eriss, lol. Good idea to possibly blot it off.

You can take the battery out of the detector then it makes that annoying beep or put a tight shower cap over the detector. This has worked for me. I seen someone post it a while back. Just make sure you always remove the cap afterwards. And that you are near to watch the candle burn.
