IMHO, when the focus is off, this happens. But if the focus is NOT off and you still can't get it going, Spirit is telling you there's either a blockage (in which case I would work on clearing it) OR this isn't the time for you to ask for this (whatever it is, I never ask for details on people's work - that's between you and Spirit).
I haven't had this issue with any of Lala's candles but when the flame goes low I would just really put my focus and concentration onto the flame and my intention.
When this happened to me i recleansed my area, focused on my outcome, gave all my attention to the candle. Chanted my ass off....the flame started small but eventually grew higher as the candle burned. I also changed my chant. I can’t remember what candle it was. Hope that helps.
