Please Advise On Sweetening and Halo

I have halo and sweetening. The only part I got confused on is what do we do with the picture while the candle is burning. Do we sit the candle on the top of the picture or is the picture near the candle?

I have already burned all of Halo with the pic to the side. Smh Sweetening was next.

I would move on to the next candle and don’t doubt it. Some people don’t even have pics. Only name papers.
