Question about my disposal mishap.

Hey Conjure Fam. So my unhex finished about three days ago and so I placed the petition and picture inside and closed it. I live by a river and always toss my candles there and set intention right before tossing it for it to flow away. This time, I didn’t toss it hard enough I guess and it didn’t make it to the water and fell right by it (I toss it from a small bride). Does this affect my work? The lid also came off. Like spirit was breaking free or something.... idk why but that’s immediately what went through my mind when it happened that way. I’ve never had this issue. Any advice! I want to start halo soon.
